THE PILLARS OF OUR WORK
SUPPORTING OWNERS
We offer professional development opportunities for childcare providers to enhance their skills and knowledge. Our educational enrichment programs focus on holistic learning experiences to support children's growth and development.
DCYF PARTNERSHIP
We facilitate community networking events to encourage collaboration and resource sharing among childcare centers. Our goal is to create a supportive network that benefits both childcare providers and the families they serve.
BIPARTISAN COMMITMENT
We are a proudly bipartisan organization dedicated to advocating for the well-being of all children. By fostering collaboration across political boundaries, we aim to improve childcare systems and shape a better future for every young Washingtonian.
LEGISLATION
Our advocacy initiatives aim to raise awareness about the importance of early childhood education and the valuable role of childcare centers. We work to advocate for policies that support the needs of children and childcare providers.
LATEST NEWS
We are constantly working to bring positive change for our fellow providers. See what we've been up to.

2025 Legislative session

defeated SB5062 “Staff oversight board” sponsored by SEIU
defeated the requirement to post our insurance limits and disclose amounts to families
passed modified child care staff education requirements
Negotiated changes with DCYF

We worked with DCYF to implement a condensed checklist for annual licensing visits, ensuring a focus on safety.
We also helped ensure that Background check costs continue to be paid by the state rather than burdening providers with those costs.
